Vanessa started out working for an independent estate agency in Brookmans Park Village, back in 1999. After 11.5 years of building up strong, personal relationships with her clients as well as a network of professional contacts, she decided it was time to tackle the challenge of starting her own business, and in November 2010 Vanessa McCallum Estates was born.
Despite starting in the midst of the recession, we have grown from strength to strength, thanks to a lot of hard work , honesty and strong commitment to being different from other agencies. We are now a strong team of 7 who along with myself have over 90 years of combined experience in this sector.
Vanessa McCallum Estates is completely independent, and as a result we are not beholden to a franchise owner, and we do not have any hidden alliances to any banks, building societies or insurance companies. We are on your side, the entire time.
Something we are very proud of is that we have won multiple awards including Best Estate in East of England for England’s Business Awards and Gold award for the best Estate Agent (numerous times) in the local area. Which is a testament to the customer service we deliver.

When I founded Vanessa McCallum Estates, I recognised a gap in the market for an experienced agent who could offer a truly personal, one-to-one service to both buyers and sellers. I was determined to create an estate agency that would stand apart from the traditional high street approach. As the business grew, I carefully selected a team who share my commitment to honesty, integrity, and exceptional service. Together, we bring a wealth of experience and in-depth knowledge, particularly within the higher end of the property market, along with a genuine passion for what we do. In 2026, we proudly opened our office in the heart of Brookmans Park village — a moment that brought us full circle to where it all began. Honesty, expertise, and outstanding customer service remain at the core of our success, and they will continue to define everything we do.
